A 36 year old lady wore braces as a child along and had two upper teeth extracted at the time. Over time, the teeth had moved and relapsed considerably and she was not happy with appearance of the upper front teeth which the patient felt were too far forward. This patient’s central incisor teeth were retroclined (pushed back) which emphasised the prominence of her lateral incisor teeth. Orthodontic treatment with upper and lower Damon fixed braces corrected the positions of the teeth and treatment took 15 months followed by upper and lower fixed retainers. She absolutely loves her new smile!
