Are there any studies that can show both beneficial and harmful effects of long term Botox use?

Submitted by admin on April 22, 2011

I've been using Botox every few months for the past three years. Are there any studies that can show both beneficial and harmful effects of long term Botox use?

We have used botox in the treatment of medical conditions such as spasms of the face for over 20years. The patients who have attended clinics have been having regular injections for over two decades and no long-term harmful effects have been found. There are a small proportion of people that can develop resistance to botox, this results in less effective treatments. If this does happen there are other formulations of botox that can be used which continue to be effective.
