Two weeks ago I was watching TV and saw Kim Kardashian right after getting a Botox injection. Her eye was completely swollen as she was having a severe allergic reaction. She also started turning black and blue! Is this type of reaction common?
Botox injections have been used in the hospital for medical indications for over 20 years. It is true that allergy can occur to some of the ingredients the Botox particularly the preservatives, Most allergies are relatively mild reactions and redness.
I had Botox injected into my forehead last month. I love the results so I'd like to start having injections for my crow's feet as well. Even though the injection will be in a different area, is it safe to have Botox this close to my last injection?
Botox treatments are often used to the forehead, crows feet and under the eyes at the same time, it maximizes the effect, and when given frequently reduces the wrinkles on the face very effectively. The increased dose is very small and not significant to cause side effects.

Wrinkles under the eyes are common, they are often quite fine and these are particularly well treated with botox. Sometimes the lines can be a little deeper and may be best treated with a combination of both botox and a fine filler.

Botox has been used in clinical medicine since the 1980s. It is one of the most effective treatments for conditions such as blephrospasm that causes spasm like contractions of the muscles around the eyes. Many of these patients we see in the hospital and have had Botox treatments for 20 years or more. Although a minority of patients can develop an immune reaction that makes the Botox less effective, it is actually uncommon even when used for a long period.
Can Botox be used as a sort of browlift to open up the eyes?
The use of botox in a specific locations above the eyebrow can generate an attractive lift of the brow. Its accepted that aging of the tissues of the face result in descent with gravity which is particularly relevant to the brow. High brows are one of the signs of a youthful face. Botox can be used by an expert to gently raise the lateral brow by reducing the effect of muscles that pull the brow downwards. The effects can produce an attractive rejuvenated look in women particularly.
I am terrified of needles but I still want to pursue Botox injections. I think that is the best way to treat my frown lines from what I have read online. Do the injections hurt? If so, is there any topical anesthetic that you can give me so that they don't.

Crows feet at the corner of the eyes usually require 3-6 injections of bow tox, care is taken to ensure the eyebrow position is not effected. This is one of the most popular uses of bot tox and it is very effectively at smoothing out these wrinkles.
