Clarity Ceramic Braces
Submitted by Admin on Mon, 04/02/2012 - 08:35

I live near London and I’m interested in coming to your centre for orthodontics. What sort of braces do you offer?

Thank you for your interest in our London orthodontic practice. We are really pleased to say we can offer you the full range of brace treatment. Our specialist orthodontist would provide a comprehensive orthodontic consultation to assess your needs and would be able to recommend a brace treatment suitable for your teeth. We have removable brace treatment including Invisalign braces. Our fixed brace treatment options range from the standard metal fixed braces, through to clear ceramic braces, innovative Damon self-ligating braces and the invisible hidden lingual braces. We look forward to seeing you very soon!

I love the look of the Clarity ceramic braces. I am getting braces at the same time as my daughter. Are the ceramic brackets sturdy enough for children? We want the same type of braces.

It’s great you are have both decided to have treatment together at the same time – you guys can compare notes! Ceramic brackets are definitely sturdy enough for children. We generally tend to recommend clear ceramic brackets on the upper teeth for children because on the lower teeth there is a risk of enamel wear from the bite. But having ceramic brackets on the upper teeth alone will make a big difference in appearance – as the brackets are tooth-coloured and clear, it will make the brace treatment quite discreet for both of you.

I think that we have finally decided on the Clarity ceramic braces for my son. He is very self conscious and he thought they looked fine. Are they as rugged as conventional braces? My son is actively involved in sports (football, tennis, baseball) and I want to make sure that the braces will hold up to his activities.

Are the Damon self-ligating braces more painful at first than conventional braces? I had braces as a child and remember that achy feeling. My teeth have shifted and I have been looking at the Damon braces.
