What are facial peels?

Facial peels correct the ageing of the skin and remove pigmentation, acne scars and other wear and tear changes. The skin texture is toned, the complexion clearer and more glowing. The facial peel works by causing a more intense exfoliation by the application of safe and effective chemicals onto the skin. In the US, facial peel treatments are the most rapidly growing non-surgical cosmetic procedure and becoming very popular in the UK.

Is it suitable for me?

Uneven pigmentation caused by acne scars, wrinkles or sun damage can be restored to a more youthful appearance by the application of chemical peels. This will improve the texture of the skin and reduce the appearance of some types of acne scars.

What is the procedure?

The peels are produced from either alphahydroxy acids or betahydroxy acids and work by removing the outer layers of the skin. The procedure usually takes about 15-30 minutes depending on the type of peel. There is a mild tingling sensation and warmth during the application and the thin surface layers of the damaged skin are removed by the solution.

What are the different treatment options?

The choice of peel is tailored to your individual needs and skin type, and includes light, medium and deep peelings that should be conducted by a trained specialist. At WeLCOMe we offer a range of skin peels that are tailored to your needs:

• Easy phytic peel : A surface peel that gives a uniform complexion and tensor effect. The treatment can be repeated once or twice a week for added effect and the superficial peel means your social life is not affected.
• Easy TCA peel (Trichloroacetic acid): This is a superficial to medium peel that is recommended for the treatment of acne marks and scars, and it also gives a spark to tired skin. The treatment is painless and to can be repeated four times (once a week) for added effect, there are no interruptions to your working life.
• Unideep: This is a medium peel that is a true rejuvenator and results in regenerating the entire skin surface. The rejuvenating effect stimulates the making of collagen and has been described as “giving you five or ten years”. This treatment does result in a peeling effect of the superficial old skin which can interrupt your social life for about five days.

Do I need recovery time?

The type and depth of peel determines the recovery time. The Easy phytic and Easy TCA peel do not have a recovery time. The Unideep peel has effect on deeper layers in the skin and after 2-3 days will result in peeling. The old skin cells are replaced by healthier cells resulting in your skin looking clearer and firmer.

What is the treatment fee?
