Who do you recommend have chemical peels?

Submitted by admin on April 25, 2011

Who do you recommend have chemical peels? I have a lot of fine wrinkles around my mouth and a few new age spots I would like to remove. I am 48 years old, male and a smoker.

Chemical peels are treatments that are used to rejuvenate the skin and give a freshened appearance. Aging and sun blemishes of the face result in changes in pigmentation such as age spots and wrinkles. Chemical peels enables the more youthful underlying skin to come to the surface, this skin has a younger appearance. The depth of the peel can be tailored to have additional effects, with deeper peels resulting in greater rejuvenation. Although with deeper peels the recover time is longer and as a smoker it would be advised to be more conservative to allow your skin plenty of time to recooperate. Sometimes a series of lighter peels can be used to greater effect by rejuvenating the appearance over a period of weeks.
