I would like to have Botox injections for my crow’s feet

Written by Dr. Chaw Su Kyi on October 10, 2010

I would like to have Botox injections for my crow’s feet. They used to crinkle when I smiled and now they crinkle all the time. How many injections are needed for this area of the face? Do you apply a topical anesthetic prior to the injections?

Crows feet at the corner of the eyes usually require 3-6 injections of bow tox, care is taken to ensure the eyebrow position is not effected. This is one of the most popular uses of bot tox and it is very effectively at smoothing out these wrinkles. The needle used to inject the bot tox is very fine and majority of patients can have the injections in this area without any anaesthetic. If you prefer, it is very easy to put a small amount of local anaesthetic ointment on to the skin before the injection, this will numb the skin and mean you cannot feel the injections at all.
